Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea has shared his thoughts on why James Corden's Carpool Karaoke has become such a runaway success.
Flea and his bandmates took a ride with Corden for the buzzy Late Late Show segment in June. Carpool Karaoke has since become so popular that Apple Music has ordered its own standalone series, which won't be hosted by Corden.
Recalling his experience shooting Carpool Karaoke with the British actor-comedian, Flea told NME backstage at Reading Festival over the weekend: "James is just such a nice man and so generous of spirit and makes you all feel so comfortable and creates a really fun environment and it's all about having fun and connecting with the music."
"You can tell that he really feels music and has a sincere joy for it," Flea continued. "As someone whose life is centered around connecting with people through music, I could really relate to him and was just happy to hang out with him. And I think for most people, that's a lot of fun. He's great at his job."
"That guy, is really good at his job," Flea added. "I don't think anyone else could do that and so that's why he's doing it so well." Watch Flea discussing Carpool Karaoke backstage at Reading below.
