Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong has vented his frustration at the lack of rock bands at this year's MTV VMAs. The frontman took to Twitter during the ceremony, which was hosted by Miley Cyrus in Los Angeles over the weekend (August 30), to air his disapproval at the lack of guitar bands involved in the show. "Just watched VMAs," he wrote. "Seriously @MTV not a single young rock n roll band?" He later added in a separate tweet: "There r great up and coming rock bands headlining festivals AND on social media. what thee hell?" "There's definitely a great spirit going on," he said. "We've always been pretty charged up. Before we found any of this out, I had already written a few songs and everybody was really excited by them. And then we heard about [being inducted into the Rock And Roll] Hall Of Fame, and we were just blown away. Yeah, I mean, we're going to take our time." We want to work on them, and we want to make a great album." This year's MTV VMAs produced a number of memorable moments, including Kanye West announcing his plans to run for President and Nicki Minaj calling Miley Cyrus a "bitch". Adele - Set Fire To The Rain (At The Royal Albert Hall) (Live) letras

I let it fall, my heart,
And as it fell you rose to claim it
It was dark and I was over
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me

My hands, they're strong
But my knees were far too weak
To stand in your arms
Without falling to your feet

But there's a side to you
That I never knew, never knew.
All the things you'd say
They were never true, never true,
And the games you play
You would always win, always win.

[Chorus:]
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name!

When I lay with you
I could stay there
Close my eyes
Feel you here forever
You and me together
Nothing gets better

'Cause there's a side to you
That I never knew, never knew,
All the things you'd say,
They were never true, never true,
And the games you play
You would always win, always win.

[Chorus:]
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name!

I set fire to the rain
And I threw us into the flames
Well, it felt something died
'Cause I knew that there was the last time, the last time!

Sometimes I wake up by the door,
That heart you caught must be waiting for you
Even now when we're already over
I can't help myself from looking for you.

[Chorus:]
I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name

I set fire to the rain,
And I threw us into the flames
Well, it felt something died
'Cause I knew that there was the last time, the last time, oh, oh!

Let it burn
Let it burn
Let it burn
