When Rolling Stone caught up with Neil Diamond last summer, the singer-songwriter had just penned a song to commemorate the Boston Marathon bombings while continuing to work a new LP. "The theme is all about up, high spirits and I can only hope to go where it takes me," he said. "I probably won't be seen until the record is written and finished." From the Archives: The Importance of Being Neil Diamond Now the finished product, a 12-song LP titled Melody Road, is scheduled for an October 21st release on Capitol Records, and the man behind it can finally return to the public eye. Produced by Don Was and Jacknife Lee, the record is Diamond's first studio album since 2010's Dreams, and first collection of original material since 2008's chart-topping, Rick Rubin-produced Home Before Dark. Above, check out the music video for the album's fifth track: Backlit and occasionally glancing at the camera, he sings the reflective "Nothing But a Heartache" lyrics while strumming his guitar on a stool in a dark room. Melody Road can be pre-ordered here. Adele - Set Fire To The Rain (At The Royal Albert Hall) (Live) letras

I let it fall, my heart,
And as it fell you rose to claim it
It was dark and I was over
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me

My hands, they're strong
But my knees were far too weak
To stand in your arms
Without falling to your feet

But there's a side to you
That I never knew, never knew.
All the things you'd say
They were never true, never true,
And the games you play
You would always win, always win.

[Chorus:]
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name!

When I lay with you
I could stay there
Close my eyes
Feel you here forever
You and me together
Nothing gets better

'Cause there's a side to you
That I never knew, never knew,
All the things you'd say,
They were never true, never true,
And the games you play
You would always win, always win.

[Chorus:]
But I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name!

I set fire to the rain
And I threw us into the flames
Well, it felt something died
'Cause I knew that there was the last time, the last time!

Sometimes I wake up by the door,
That heart you caught must be waiting for you
Even now when we're already over
I can't help myself from looking for you.

[Chorus:]
I set fire to the rain,
Watched it pour as I touched your face,
Well, it burned while I cried
'Cause I heard it screaming out your name, your name

I set fire to the rain,
And I threw us into the flames
Well, it felt something died
'Cause I knew that there was the last time, the last time, oh, oh!

Let it burn
Let it burn
Let it burn
